Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil (pronounced ho-ho-ba) is produced originally as a liquid wax that comes from the Simmondsia chinensis plant in which grows in the desserts of Arizona, California and Mexico. It contains a variety of minerals and vitamins that are essential to healthy reactions to the skin and hair. Jojoba oil enhances the ability for the skin to retain its moisture as well as heal itself, in which has a great effect on many skin conditions.

The jojoba plant was discovered by Native Americans who used it for its medicinal properties in the early 18th century. They typically used this plant for wound healing and treating sores purposes. The greenish or yellow like small flower does not have any petals. The thick, waxy leaves produce a high content of beneficial minerals and Vitamin E. Unrefined jojoba oil is visually a clear golden liquid while refined jojoba oil is colorless.
